Stop 0: The Beginning of Everything - The Rectangle

Area means how many unit squares fit inside a shape. For a rectangle, you can just multiply the number of squares in a row (length) by the number of rows (width).

Steps:

  • 1. Count unit squares one by one
  • 2. Each row has the same number of squares
  • 3. Total squares = length × width
  • 4. Area formula: Length × Width

Counting: 0

Area = Length × Width
